King of Tokyo: Alpha Zombie Evolution Cards

King of Tokyo has become a family favorite and game group favorite. It is easy to learn and doesn't require a lot to play, making for a fast and fun game. The evolution expansions make it fun by giving each monster its own powers and more variety to the game.

There have been many promos made by IELLO games, but none of them have evolution cards, limiting their use to myself and our gaming groups.

Many people have made their own evolution cards for some of these promos which you can find over on boardgamegeek.com. sixbynineis42's customs of Kookie, Iron Rook, and Brockenbar are great! And they look like real cards. He was willing to share his templates with me so I could make my own.

I have made my own set of evolution cards for the promo character Alpha Zombie (which I drew inspiration from Branden Sprenger's found here). And I made my own Monster and evolution cards for the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man too (I use ideas from Danny Mack's version found here).

So here are the evolution cards for Alpha Zombie:

Individual cards (note the you will need 2 copies of Brain Eater):

Next post with have the everything you need to add Stay Puft to King of Tokyo, stay tuned.

Power Rangers Heroes of the Grid Villains

This last year I was able to get a copy of Power Rangers Heroes of the Grid. It is a fun cooperative game and that gives a lot of nostalgia to fans of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. They are great looking figures but I would have preferred them to be in the 28mm to 32mm scale as I would be able to complete them faster and use the figures with other games such as Heroscape.

I have complete painting all the baddies from the base game and they are pictured below, enjoy:

I have stared and I am about half way done with the Rangers, then I will move on to the Kickstarter Exclusive Goldar Box followed by the Zeo Ranger Expansion. Until next time "May the power protect you".

BANG! Most Wanted

NOTE: All images and names used in the official BANG! (and its expansions) are copyright © dV Giochi.

Most Wanted is an unofficial mini expansion to BANG! the card game and, designed by Quincy Thompson (me). Most Wanted is a mini expansion that builds off the official Gold Rush expansion and supplement to my Osseointegrated expansion, adding 4 new characters and 3 more equipment cards to BANG!. Many of the other cards are inspired by and use the artwork from the custom cards made in the various unofficial expansions created on The BANG! Blog. The cards included consist of characters and equipment cards that didn't make the final cut into Osseointegrated, but should have. These cards were simply too good to not create and share, so I am making them available now.

PDF downloads:

There is no Rule Book for Most Wanted. Below you will find the needed explanations for the new cards.

NEW EQUIPMENT CARDS

Centennial. You may shoot 1 additional Bang! at a range up to 3.

Memento. If you would be eliminated "draw!" : if the card is not a spade. Stay at 1 life point and draw 1 card. If the "draw!" is unsuccessful, you can't play a Beer to save you.

Unfinished Business. You may bring back any eliminated player! The chosen player maintains the character, role, and position at the table he/she was before being eliminated. The chosen player comes back into play with 2 life and draws 2 cards.

THE CHARACTERS

Ambrogio. (4 life points): he regains 1 life point when he wounds a player with a BANG!.

Deputy Barrett. (3 life points): at the beginning of the Sheriff's turn he draws 2 cards (after the Sheriff draws his cards to start his turn).

Raymond Curtis. (3 life points): he starts the game with 3 gold nuggets from the heap.

Six-Shooter Jack. (4 life points): during his turn he may play blue or green bordered cards on another player.

Hippy the Hippo Birthday Cake

Another year and another birthday! Went big again this year as we had close to 50 people at the party...almost did 4 tiers but decided against it, so 3 again. So much for the 1 tier for every year.

This was a fun one. The birthday girl picked out the theme and the colors. The Mrs. played a big part in baking and helping design and decorate. We really stepped it up with new decorating techniques we have never done and, we also used marshmallow fondant to the mix for the hippo topper.

Special thanks to my mom for the tips in stacking the tiers and for giving me some of grandpa's old decorating tips from the bakery.

Star Wars Epic Duels Darth Vader and Clone Troopers Custom Deck

Epic Duels was the first "miniatures" game that I played. I love Star Wars and the game is amazing! This is also the first game that I really tried customizing. I started making a Qui-Gon-Jinn deck first but could not find the right balance for it. I shelved it and started working on a deck for Anakin when he becomes Darth Vader at the end of Episode III.

My goal was to make a deck on the same power level as Obi-Wan Kenobi for the dark side. I recently got the game out to play it again and decided my customs needed an art work update to give them more of an official game piece look.

Not sure if I will share all of my custom decks but this one is near and dear to me. The miniatures are a modified Emperor Palpatine and another set of clone troopers from Star Wars Epic Duels. Anyways here is the final product of my Darth Vader and Clone Trooper deck:

Care Bear Birthday Cake

Well I'm a little late on getting this posted but its been another year and that means time for another birthday cake. Crazy that it has been 3 years since my baby girl was born!

This year I decided to go a little bit bigger and do a "3" tier cake. My mom thought I was crazy and asked "how many tiers I was going to do for her 16th birthday?" I answered with "sixteen of course." I was joking...I think...I guess we will see. But is was a good thing we went bigger this year because we had over 40 people over for the birthday party.

It was a fun cake to decorate and was special to have the birthday girl help out this year. Pictures aren't the best but the party was outside and I had to do some of the decorating outside, so keeping the kids out of the cake was a challenge and we're lucky that I was able to get pictures of the final product.
